Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE)
Key Stage 1
During Key Stage 1, pupils learn about themselves as individuals and as members of their communities. They are encouraged and supported to build on their prior experiences and learning. Children learn about keeping themselves healthy and safe as well as exploring the impact that their behaviour can have on others. We provide opportunities for children to take some responsibility for themselves and their environment
During Key Stage 1, our children continue to learn about their relationships with others, exploring their own and other people's feelings. They also start to examine the views, needs and rights of other children and older people. As members of a class and school community, they learn social skills such as how to share, take turns, play, help others, resolve simple arguments and resist bullying. All of our children are encouraged to take an active part in the life our school and community.
