Over the term, we aim to explore the question…
Can I touch the moon?
Using some carefully selected well-known stories, the children will explore the world around them and space. We know that children are more likely to engage with their learning if presented with meaningful contexts and a keen interest in the subject matter. Therefore, staff remain open on the path we take to explore new concepts and skills.
Key Information
PE takes place on a Thursday - children should come to school in their PE kit. If your child has their ears pierced, please ensure earrings are removed in the morning before school.
PLEASE ENSURE YOUR CHILD'S NAME IS IN ALL OF THEIR CLOTHES AND BELONGINGS.
Don't forget book bags are needed EVERY DAY.
Please read the decodeable book with child at least four times a week and record this in the reading record.
People continue to use Tapestry as it is an excellent platform for sharing learning from home and in Foundation.
On home visit we left you a piece of paper saying which fruit group your child is in for our observation cycle. The dates for their focus week and show and tell dates can be found below.
We will observe children on a weekly basis as we have done previously.

WB 26th January – Kiwi - Show and tell on Friday 30th January
WB 2nd February – Blueberry - Show and Tell on Friday 5th February
WB 9th February – Grape - Show and Tell on Friday 13th February
Reminder that your child can bring in something small to share for show and tell when it is their Friday. Show and tell is VERY important to the children so please do pop their date in your phone calendar.

Staff are always willing to discuss ways in which you can help your child at home. Feel free to ask if you are in need of some inspiration or ideas about a certain area of learning! Each term we will provide a selection of optional home learning activities you could complete with your child. These will be put on Tapestry and can also be found in the homework document to the right.
