Curriculum Intent
The study of Art at Leigham engages our children in the wonderful world of Art and allows them to be experimental, imaginative and creative individuals. Through the study of Art, pupils are taught about a wide range of great artists, architects, craft makers and designers from different times and cultures. They are also taught a wide range of art and design techniques, which enable them to confidently produce their own creations. Our children will have the opportunity to evaluate, review and revisit ideas to add to and enhance their artwork.

They will have developed an excellent knowledge about a wide range of artists and will confidently use their ideas in creating their own artwork. Our children will have a passion for Art and confidently improve their mastery with a range of materials. They will be given the opportunity to review and revisit their ideas.
