We took part in a hot seating activity. We imagined we were Sir Francis Drake, Queen Elizabeth I of England and King Phillip II of Spain.

Science - We learnt about staying clean and how germs can spread if we do not wash our hands properly.

Year 2 used the orienteering course to gather the pieces of a puzzle that introduced our new history topic: Sir Francis Drake: Hero or Villain?

Year 2 braved the rain to go on an Easter egg hunt. Happy Easter to you all! from the Year 2 Team

We have been using different vocabulary to direct Quokka to get his drink. We then used directions to look for the different things in the sea during this Ocean Week.

Year 2 looked at different artefacts (primary sources) from Pompeii and learnt that archaeologists excavated the ruins of Pompeii and described it as a time capsule. We made a time capsule to remember what is important to us now.

In PSHE, Year 2 have been learning about healthy food choices. The children made fruit kebabs and tried a variety of fruit.

Elm class were so excited to help raise money for the Anthony Nolan charity. Great work running 5 laps per day (even in the rain)!

We have been very active in maths this half term. We have found out our favourite ice creams using a tally chart, measured different objects in the classroom using centimetres (cm) and had fun telling the time.

Elm Class had an amazing time during Book Week - reimagining the Traditional Tale of Little Red Riding Hood.
