  • British Sign Language Week

    To celebrate British Sign Language Week 2024, some of our children completed an engaging sign language lesson online. The week is organised by the British Deaf Association, which has chosen the theme of ‘Promoting BSL and ISL as indigenous languages of the UK’.

    The campaign aims to celebrate and educate about BSL and ISL, to encourage more people to start learning it and preserve BSL and ISL for future generations.

  • Connect Games- Squares

    A group of Year 4 children participated in the latest instalment of the Connect Games hosted by Manadon Vale Primary School. In teams of four, the children had the new experience of playing games of squares whereby you have to defend your area and target the opponent’s with a throwing and catching activity. The children had enormous fun and came back to school afterwards with beaming smiles on their faces

  • Change 4 Life

    A group of KS1 children had a great time at the Change 4 Life event. The idea of the event was to get children actively involved in lots of fun activities. They enjoyed team building challenges and even made their own smoothies using a bike! Lots of fun was had by all. Thank you to PSSP for organising this event.

  • Future Fit Junior Field Gun

    Year 4, 5 and 6 were fortunate to have a taster day with Future Fit Junior Field Gun. Thank you to David and Sam for a fantastic day and to Mrs Tucker for organising the event. We have lots of children who are keen to train up as the Field Gun Crew for Leigham Primary School. How exciting!

  • Bee Netball Regional Finals

    A great day of netball! Today, these 7 children attended the Bee Netball Stinger Finals. They were playing against all the best teams in Devon and played well against many challenging teams. Well done everyone!

  • PAFC Community Clusters League

    Mon 18 Mar 2024

    This afternoon, Leigham competed in the finals of the Year 5/6 Plymouth Argyle in the Community Clusters League. Our team played some magnificent football against some tough opposition and deservedly made it through to the semifinal without conceding a single goal along the way. Although we narrowly lost the semifinal, we were incredibly proud of how well the team competed. Well done Team Leigham 💛💙⚽️

    Traditional Times!

    This week is #BritishScienceWeek! We have been celebrating all things Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.

    This year, the theme was 'time'. Each of our year groups were set a challenge based on a traditional tale.

  • Girls' Football Cup

    This afternoon, a Year 6 football team competed in the Girls’ U11 Football Cup at a very wet Marjons! The girls were sporting our brand new football kit supplied by Premier League All Stars. The team were terrific, particularly with a resolute defence which only conceded two goals in the whole tournament! With a bit more luck in front of goal, the girls could have easily turned some draws into wins. They represented the school magnificently and Mr Bradley, Mr Easterbrook and Mr Wren were extremely proud of them. Well done Team Leigham!

  • Year 1 Learning Together- Code Cracking!

    Year 1 have had a fantastic afternoon with their grown-ups for their learning together session today. We were blown away with the children's reading and their ability to crack the code! We hope that the grown-ups had just as good a time as we did!

  • Year 5 Learning Together- DT Project

    Year 5 were lucky enough to be joined by parents and carers to help with their DT project.

    The children had great fun and worked well as a team with their adults- showing some excellent delegation!
